The Maritime Singapore Master Plan (MSMP) is a collaborative initiative between the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and the Ministry of Transport (MOT), set to be unveiled in 2027. This comprehensive blueprint aims to guide the future development of Singapore’s maritime sector amidst a backdrop of global trade uncertainties and rapid industry transformation driven by digitalization and sustainability. The MSMP will focus on enhancing business planning, investment, and workforce skills within the maritime industry.

The plan outlines several strategic goals: to bolster Singapore’s position as a pivotal hub and key node in global shipping, to enhance its appeal as an International Maritime Centre, to establish the nation as a leader in maritime innovation—particularly in artificial intelligence—and to cultivate a future-ready workforce equipped to meet emerging challenges.

To engage the public in shaping the MSMP, two participatory activities are available until September 30, 2026. Participants can complete a survey for a chance to win one of twenty $50 e-vouchers. Additionally, an AI image contest invites creative submissions depicting what Maritime Singapore might look like in 2050, with prizes ranging from $150 to $300. Detailed terms and conditions are provided for both initiatives.
