V., a ship manager and marine services provider, has recently secured the full technical and crew management responsibilities for six LR1 vessels owned by International Seaways, Inc. These vessels are equipped with scrubbers and are dual-fuel (LNG) ready, showcasing a commitment to more sustainable shipping practices. This partnership further solidifies V.’s existing relationship with INSW, as V.Ships UK already manages 44 vessels in the INSW fleet, including VLCCs, Suezmax, Aframax, Panamax (LR1), and MR vessels.
The six LR1 vessels are currently being constructed at K Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in South Korea and are scheduled to be delivered over a 12-month period, commencing in the third quarter of 2025. These vessels are designed with dual-fuel (LNG) readiness, positioning them as leaders in the industry’s efforts towards eco-friendly shipping operations.
