Last week, three merchant vessels with Indian crew members were targeted in a US attack near the Oman coast. The MT Settebello was among those affected, resulting in three fatalities, while the remaining crew members were successfully rescued.

In response to the attacks, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs summoned US Charge d’Affaires Jason Meeks twice within a week to convey a strong protest, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation and the need for accountability.
