The platform does not intend to replace existing systems but rather to connect them through a structured trust layer. It records verifications as auditable events, detailing who verified what, when, and the outcomes, facilitating the reuse of verified records across various employers and jurisdictions. Each seafarer will have a persistent digital profile that maintains their professional records and achievements, empowering them to manage and share their information securely and efficiently.
VIKAND’s involvement will focus on integrating healthcare services into this platform, enhancing access to medical care at sea.
