The supply operation took place in Gibraltar for their customer “K” LINE. The Thor Highway, a newly built LNG dual-fueled car carrier operated by “K” LINE, showcases the company’s commitment to lower carbon shipping solutions. Peninsula’s Tokyo office played a crucial role in facilitating the deal through their strong relationship with “K” LINE locally.
The seamless operation by the LNGBV Levante LNG demonstrates Peninsula’s expertise in providing evolving lower carbon fuel options. This successful delivery also highlights Gibraltar’s ambition to become a key hub for LNG bunkering in the Mediterranean. Peninsula’s Head of Sustainability and Alternative Fuels, Nacho de Miguel, noted the healthy LNG powered vessel order book in the coming years, affirming their decision to develop LNG bunkering solutions early in the marine fuel transition.
