The Saudi-led military coalition in Yemen has released operational video footage showcasing precision air strikes targeting maritime smuggling routes utilized by the Houthi movement. The strikes took place off the coast of the Hodeidah governorate and were aimed at disrupting the transport of illicit arms shipments linked to the Iran-aligned group.
The footage was shared by the coalition spokesperson on the social media platform X, illustrating the coalition’s efforts to neutralize sea vessels and logistical assets involved in these smuggling operations. The operation underscores the coalition’s commitment to countering the Houthi’s military capabilities and ensuring maritime security in the region.
In a follow-up announcement, the spokesperson revealed that coalition forces successfully identified and destroyed two ballistic missile launch platforms located in Yemen’s northern Saada governorate. This area is known as a stronghold for the Houthi movement, situated close to the Saudi border, highlighting the ongoing military activities aimed at curbing the group’s capabilities. The coalition’s actions reflect a continued focus on eliminating threats posed by the Houthis and their support from external actors.
