Tugdock has achieved a significant milestone with its Tugdock Submersible Platform (TSP) receiving the prestigious ‘Statement of Feasibility’ from DNV, a leading independent energy expert and assurance provider. This recognition highlights the TSP as a groundbreaking technology with diverse applications in various markets, including floating offshore wind, vessel drydocking, and decommissioning.
The TSP is designed as a pinned, open steel-frame structure that utilizes the company’s patented vertical air buoyancy cylinders. This system is easily transportable by road and can be assembled on site to create a modular dry dock of customizable dimensions, up to 120m x 120m in 5-meter increments. It can be utilized for lifting and launching heavy marine structures or vessels, as well as serving as a modular workstation for various tasks.
This endorsement from DNV underscores the innovative and versatile nature of the TSP, positioning it as a valuable solution for a range of maritime applications. With its unique design and capabilities, the TSP offers a cost-effective and efficient alternative for drydocking and marine operations, making it a promising technology for the future of the industry.
