The Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) has officially handed over a Type Approval Certificate to Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE) in Kolkata. This certification pertains to a range of Hull and Line Valves designed for use on both defense and commercial vessels. The valves, produced using Nickel Aluminium Bronze (NAB) and Stainless Steel (SS), have successfully met the IRS’s stringent rules and requirements for marine applications.

The certification underscores the valves’ reliability, durability, and corrosion resistance, making them suitable for challenging marine environments. This initiative not only promotes the use of type-approved marine equipment but also aims to bolster indigenous manufacturing capabilities within India’s maritime sector.
