Over 70 Aspiring Seafarers Visit Warsash Maritime School for Training

Over 70 aspiring seafarers recently had the opportunity to delve into maritime careers during a visit to Warsash Maritime School. The students, hailing from two pre-cadetship partner colleges, Pembrokeshire College and Brockenhurst College, toured the esteemed institution on October 2. The visit aimed to provide insights into cadet officer training and the various career paths available within the maritime sector.

The director of Warsash Maritime School emphasized the importance of such visits, stating they help students grasp the extensive opportunities within the maritime industry and the routes leading to fulfilling careers at sea. This year, the school celebrated a record intake of over 270 seafarers, contributing to nearly 40 percent of cadet officer maritime training across the UK. As the leading provider in the country, Warsash is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of maritime professionals and supporting the industry’s future workforce.
